TOWORKFOR ACADEMY

BECAUSE THE RIGHT SHOE STARTS WITH THE RIGHT KNOWLEDGE.

Choosing the wrong safety footwear is not just uncomfortable — it can be dangerous, or it can leave a company exposed to liability. TOWORKFOR Academy is our educational initiative dedicated to improving the standard of safety footwear selection, specification, and use across industry.

UNDERSTANDING EN ISO 20345

The EN ISO 20345 standard is the foundation of safety footwear specification in Europe, but it is widely misunderstood. Our Academy training covers the standard in plain language: what S1, S1P, S2, and S3 actually mean in practice, how the testing is conducted, and how to match the correct safety class to a specific workplace risk assessment.

RISK ASSESSMENT FOR FOOTWEAR

The starting point for any safety footwear specification should be a proper risk assessment — not brand preference, price, or habit. TOWORKFOR Academy provides a structured methodology for footwear risk assessment that helps safety professionals identify the specific hazards in their workplace and translate these into footwear requirements.

FIT AND WEAR GUIDANCE

Even the best safety shoe performs poorly if it does not fit correctly or is worn incorrectly. Our Academy content covers foot measurement, correct lacing technique for different boot constructions, insole selection, and the signs that safety footwear needs to be replaced. Proper fit guidance distributed to workers reduces the incidence of foot fatigue, blisters, and musculoskeletal complaints.

TRAINING FOR DISTRIBUTORS AND SAFETY MANAGERS

TOWORKFOR Academy runs structured training programmes for our authorised distributors, helping their technical teams develop the product knowledge needed to give accurate advice. For safety managers and procurement professionals, we offer on-site training sessions and online resources that can be delivered as part of broader PPE management programmes.
